Zonation of Flood-Prone Areas Based on Remote Sensing Data and Hydrodynamic Models

چکیده
Many watersheds in Manokwari are classified as flood-prone areas with a frequency of more than 1 flood per year. Limited rain stations and climate make it difficult to the zoning areas. This study aims utilize remote sensing data hydrodynamic models zone (DAS). The research was conducted Wosi Watershed - Regency West Papua Province. used this is DEMNAS topographic data, Climate Hazards Group Infrared Precipitation Stations (CHIRPS) acquired 1996 – 2020, Sentinel 2 imagery 21 September river maps. peak flow watershed analyzed using rational methods hazard HEC-RAS. showed that River not able accommodate at various return periods, consequently, had potential for flooding every results relevant actual events, therefore can be analyze zoning. Keywords: Stations, DEMNAS, HEC-RAS, Satellite Imagery, 2.

متن کاملFlood Hazard Mapping Combining Hydrodynamic Modeling and Multi Annual Remote Sensing data
This paper explores a method to combine the time and space continuity of a large-scale inundation model with discontinuous satellite microwave observations, for high-resolution flood hazard mapping. The assumption behind this approach is that hydraulic variables computed from continuous spatially-distributed hydrodynamic modeling and observed as discrete satellite-derived flood extents are corr...
متن کاملAir temperature estimation based on environmental parameters using remote sensing data
This study is aimed at estimating monthly mean air temperature (Ta) using the MODIS Land Surface Temperature (LST), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), latitude, altitude, slope gradient and land use data during 2001-2015. The results showed that despite some spatial similarities between annual spatial patterns of Ta and LST, their variations are significantly different, so that the...

Determination of flood-prone areas using Sentinel-1 Radar images (Case study: Flood on March 2019, Kashkan River, Lorestan Province) Introduction Although natural hazards occur in all parts of the world, their incidence is higher in Asia than in any other part of the world. Natural phenomena are considered as natural hazards when they cause damage or financial losses to human beings. Iran ...
